The handle is made from Kokutan (Ebony) with a buffalo horn bolster. Kokutan is extremely rare, strong, and durable wood. The main end of the Moribashi, or chopsticks, is made with stainless steel. The length of the chopsticks are octagonal to allow for easy holding and decoration. The chopsticks are slightly heavy giving a sense of stability, strength, and luxury to the chef.
